Young Entrepreneurs

Young people, such as the founders of Facebook, YouTube, and Digg.com are turning creative ideas, passions, and hobbies into business opportunities. The Women's Business Center at Florida Tech is committed to helping entrepreneurs of the future in their endeavors to achieve the American dream. The WBC partners with Junior Achievement of the Space Coast as well as other organizations throughout Brevard County to reach out to the youth in our community. One of the projects is a summer camp. The first one was held during June 20-24, 2011 on the main campus of Florida Institute of Technology. Students learned the importance of a business plan, marketing to their customer, and having an advantage over their competition. Guest entrepreneurs and speakers participated in the camp to provide a broad range of activities and knowledge.
